The Estonian government Denounces ‘Shameless’ Territorial Violation by Russian Military Aircraft
Moscow’s combat jets have breached Estonian national air territory, according to the foreign ministry in Tallinn.
The airspace entry involved multiple MiG-31s from Russia, which entered the nation’s skies lacking authorization and lingered for nearly twelve full minutes on recent Friday over the Baltic Sea region.
The government have requested the presence of the Russian chargé d’affaires to formally submit a strong complaint.
It has been noted that the Russian jets had their transponders switched off while flying within the skies of a North Atlantic Treaty Organization country.
So far, the Kremlin forces has offered no statement on the allegation.
“Friday’s violation was remarkably audacious,” remarked Estonian Foreign Minister.
The minister also noted that Moscow’s growing challenges to sovereignty and heightening assertiveness must be countered by a rapid increase in international sanctions and scrutiny.
So far in 2025, Russia has reportedly violated national territory repeatedly.
