WSL Clash: Man City Challenge The Gunners - Home Team Targeting to Climb to Second Position
In an eagerly awaited WSL game, Manchester City will host the Gunners at midday BST.
Manchester City manager Jeglertz shared his thoughts ahead of the match:
We must focus on recognizing if we fail to execute the high press, so we don’t manage to win possession in our preferred areas, to adapt and remain composed in being a little bit lower, accepting that the opponent is a very good opponent and they need to keep the ball sometimes. And that means that we need to be solid in our defending and have a compact team.”
“As a coach, it’s natural to view this as an important fixture, yet we aim to approach it like any other match because it’s still the same points up for grabs. We’re aware that a defeat it’s tough for the league, however, we must stick to our usual routines and strategies despite the fact that the opposition is at the highest level.”
Manchester City will be aiming to claim a victory which would help them rise to the number two spot in the WSL standings.
